PICKATHON Treeline Stage

in collaboration with Portland State University’s faculty members Travis Bell and Clive Knights, and design-build student members and volunteers

2018 and 2019

For several years, the School of Architecture at Portland State University has designed and built the Treeline Stage for the Pickathon Music Festival. In the summer of 2018, Rebecca had the opportunity to be part of the building team that erected the stage designed by a team of students during the spring term prior. In the spring term of 2019 Rebecca was a member of the design team that designed and, later that summer, built the Treeline Stage for the summer festival of 2019.

Below are a few publications and links that highlight the 2019 Treeline Stage design and recognition in the contemporary design scene. Design-build leaders and faculty Clive Knights and Travis Bell won the Excellence in Sustainability Teaching Award at Portland State University for their leadership and exemplary dedication to evocative design and teaching, in part a recognition for this stage, but also recognition of the seven stages they led prior, as well as to their dedication to their students and the design-build process.
